Gerhard Katterbauer 3d digital photo

Gerhard Katterbauer was born in 1954 in Linz, Austria, and lives and works in Vienna. He studied ceramics at the College of Art in Graz and sculpture at the Academia of Forming Arts in Vienna. His art is careful reconfiguration of his own digital photographs taken on "study trips," often of architectural sites, collaged with free-hand drawings done in Painter and human figures derived from Poser. Rendering of light and shade is accomplished in Bryce. He says his work is an effort to "show new things, a combination between 'real and unreal'".

I chose this work of art because I feel it captures me at this present moment.  Although the lady is face is still, life around her is still going on.  this relates to me because I want to be on vacation but I have so much to do right now and cannot go away.

  1. Wow your interpretation of this picture is dead on. As the face may be still but life goes on around her. This was a really good post. Good Job
